Intercessory Prayer MinistryOur pastor believes that our Intercessory Prayer Ministry is the most critical of all the ministries in our church. We are very committed to this ministry and will offer opportunities several times a year for members to attend the necessary training to participate in this ministry. If you are interested in attending our next training session, watch our calendar on this site and the church bulletin announcements, or you can contact the church to get the date of the next available training time. It would be our privilege to serve alongside you in this very valuable ministry! The EWS Prayer Ministry now consists of 3 areas in which you can become a part: The Shield (2 Samuel 22: 31-37): In Ancient Roman warfare, the tortoise formation, which was formed by soldiers closing all gaps between them by the strategic placing of their shields, was commonly used to create an impenetrable shield of protection as the soldiers advanced against their enemy. The EWS Intercessory Prayer Team serves together to provide an impenetrable shield of protection as we intercede for our pastor and our church during each service on Sundays and Wednesdays.
The Shelter (Psalm 91:1, 4): The Shelter reaches out to those in need of specific prayer. The Shelter ministers to those who are sick, hospitalized or shut-ins. The Shelter also receives calls and prays with those individuals over the phone. The Shelter will be in operation Tuesdays- Fridays 8:00-4:30. The Hedge (Ezekiel 22:30) - The Revelation Walk Prayer Team: The Hedge provides prayer cover and support for everyone involved in Revelation Walk and intercession for those who attend the Revelation Walk performances. The Hedge will be praying at each scene and in the parking lot. Are you willing to be part of the hedge and stand in the gap? The Pit Crew: The Pit Crew of any racing team is totally responsible for all aspects of the car, on and off the track. The Pit Crew's most important moments, however, come during a race. NASCAR only allows 7 individuals to go "over the wall" and service a car during each race. The dependability, swiftness, and expertise of the Pit Crew determines a driver's success or failure during a race. The Servant Team at Eden Westside knows that without your prayers and support, we could not do our job effectively. We are looking for a 7 member Pit Crew to "service" each of our staff members and lay leaders by daily interceding on their behalf, personally and professionally.
