Accomplishments of the Ministry:

With the help of the Student Ministry, Children's Department and the WOG (Women of God) Ministry, we have sent the following:

  - 4,000 + minutes for troops to phone home
  - 2,000 + handwritten cards
  - 500 + Operation Westside brochures
  - 60 + soccer balls
  - 40 + Experiencing God Day by Day Soldier Devotionals
  - 25 + Bibles
  - 100 + boxes of Pop Tarts
  - 50 + boxes of cereal bars

With the help of local Girl Scout troops, 250+ boxes of Girl Scout cookies.

Operation Westside is an outreach to our military who are serving their Country and their families who are at home. If you have a family member or know a service man or service woman serving our country overseas then we would love to be their encourager.

We want to help your military family by sending you weekly emails of encouragement. We understand that deployment is very hard on the soldier and the family, that is the reason we want to be there to help families get through this difficult time.

"I wanted to drop you a letter to let you know what an incredible human I think you are. I am deployed to Iraq right now and somehow wound up on your mailing list. My unit has been through some hard days and put through some trying times when strength was sometimes hard to muster. We occasionally had the opportunity to check e-mail and one thing I seemed to be able to count on was a letter of encouragment from my wife, a few great friends and you. I don't know how you received my address but I do believe God puts special people in our lives that help encourage and push us along. On this deployment you are one of those special people in my life. I know we've never met but that is an even larger testimony to the kind of heart you have. It is easy to do for those we love but to do for people we've never laid eyes on takes a very special person. I pray that God would bless this earth with more like you. It would definitely be a better place.I will be home sometime around May and hope my wife and I can meet and get to know you. Take care and know your work does not go unrecognized. "

"Just a quick note to let you know I made it home okay! Praise God, He brought me through a really tough year. I saw a lot of bad stuff, the full impact of Adam and Eve's fall played out before my eyes, and it broke my heart to see the depths of man's depravity. I can only imagine how it must break the Father's heart every minute of every day.

Anyway, I wanted to say thank you for the NUMEROUS prayers you prayed for me and my soldiers this year. We appreciate your commitment more than you know, and I can only guess that your prayers were instrumental in bringing us home safely. Thank you!"
