Rev. Connell was saved at the age of 12 years old. In 1974 he married his high school sweetheart, Denise Lovvorn.  He accepted the called into the ministry in June, 1981.  In October 1981, he was pastoring his first church.

Rev. Jacky Connell has served as Sr. Pastor of Eden Westside Baptist Church since July, 1987.  Pastor Connell is a God-called pastor and avid Bible teacher.  He loves preaching and teaching the Word of God.  Under Pastor Connell’s leadership at Eden Westside Baptist Church the church has grown tremendously.

Rev. Connell is also the founder and director of JC Leadership Specialties. This is an organization that is dedicated to helping people maximize their personal potential by building on the positive leadership skills they already possess.  He is a challenging and motivational speaker.

Rev. Connell and Denise live in Leeds, Alabama and they have two daughters and one granddaughter.
