Brother Ric Callahan serves as the Executive Pastor over Ministries for Eden Westside. He is originally from Birmingham, Alabama and a graduate of Samford University and Southwestern Baptist Seminary. His passion is to help people grow to become "Fully Devoted Followers of Christ."

Brother Ric has been married to his wife Carla for 23 years.

They have two daughters, Kari age 18, and Cassie age 15. Both are students at Hoover High School. Carla is a teacher and serves as "Reading Coach" at Chalkville Elementary School. The Callahan's enjoy camping and spending time with family at the lake.

Brother Ric's hobbies include leading kids in worship, fishing, riding motorcycles, and going to movies.

David Veasey
Music minister

David came to Eden Westside 7 years ago to serve as our Music Minister. David is passionate about his ministry, and his worship style will truly draw you in as you praise God with him through music.

If you love to worship God through song and music, then David would love to see your smiling face in the choir loft! The choir currently practices on Wednesday nights from 7 PM - 8 PM.

David and Kathy have been married for 35 years. They have 2 grown children and 1 grandchild.

Paulette bowman
Preschool ministry

Paulette has been the director of our Preschool Department for 3 years and has been a member of Eden Westside for 6 years. She exhibits an unconditional love for our preschoolers as she strives to provide a happy, safe, nuturing, loving, and Christ-centered environment for children from birth - kingergarten.

Paulette is married to Danny Bowman and has 2 children and 4 grandchildren. Paulette and Danny live in Moody, AL.

RANDY BRUNER
STUDENT MINISTER

Randy is a graduate of Troy University with a degree in Environmental Science. He remained in Troy as a student minister for over five years, where he developed a reputation as an exceptional motivator and for his ability to build networks of people by building relationships. In 2003,  he became vice president of Legacy Leadership Ministry where he proven himself as a leader of leaders by developing student ministers and adult volunteers into spiritual leaders. In 2005, Randy was called to one of the nations mega-churches at Cascade Hills Church in Columbus, Ga., to serve as Senior High Pastor.Most recently, Randy served with Scott Dawson Ministries in the Conference Department developing relationships with student ministers.

He and his wife, Beth, have three children, Addison, Carson, and Eden, as well as one on the way.

pastoral care

Bill began attending Eden Westside at age 5, and he joined in 1952 when he was saved.  Bill is an ordained deacon and minister and is responsible for our Pastoral Care ministry, which includes hospital visits, shut-in visits, the Care Ministry, and Benevolence.

Bill and Patsy have been married for 44 years. He has 2 grown children and 4 grandchildren, all of whom are members at Eden Westside.

rachel Stevens
OPERATION WESTSIDE

Rachel has been an Eden Westside member for 9 years and has worked in various capacities for approximately 4 years.  Rachel currently serves as the head of our Operation Westside Ministry, a 10th grade Life Discovery Teacher, 7th and 8th Grade Discipleship Teacher, Counselor for alter call for Wild Wednesdays, in addition to her current role as the administrative assistant for our Education Ministry.

Rachel is from Pell City, AL and is married to Tracey Stevens, who is a full time Alabama National Guard.  Rachel and Tracy have been married for 21 years and have 2 boys: Morgan (18) and Elliott (9).

Media Team Leader

Kevin is our Media Team Leader and is responsible for ensuring that our sound/video equipment works properly for our services.  Additionally, he is the head of sound for Revelation Walk. Kevin is extremely dedicated to his ministry, and we are very blessed to have him leading this team.

Rick Earnest
Worship Leader

Rick has been a member of Eden Westside for 18 years and is our Worship Leader.  During his time at Eden Westside, Rick has served in many capacities, including Life Discovery teacher, Outreach Director, and Choir Director. In addition to his role as Worship Leader, Rick is currently an Assistant Life Discovery Teacher, a Discpleship U Teacher, a part of the Visitation Ministry, and Revelation Walk.

Rick and Cindy have been married for 20 years and have 3 children: Kayla (18), Lee (15), and Aaron (11).  They live in Pell City, AL.

Pam Johnson
Missions and Prayer Coordinator

Pam has acted as the Mission Coordinator for 3 years. Most recently, she has assumed the role of the head of our Intercessory Prayer Ministry, as well as assisting with the CARE Ministry.

Lynn Fancher
Power Lunch

Lynn has been a member of Eden Westside for 11 years. She is presently serving as our church secretary, as well as heading our Power Lunch Ministry. Prior to serving in this capacity, Lynn was the JC Impact Ministry Director for 9 years.

Lynn has been married to Mike Fancher for 36 years, and they have 2 children and 5 grandchildren.  Lynn and Mike live in Cropwell, AL.

Jeff Wills
Webmaster 

Jeff became a member of Eden Westside in 2001, and he is our webmaster.  Additionally, Jeff has served as a preschool leader since 2004. Jeff is also a choir member and is on the Men's Ministry team.

Jeff and his wife Alison were married in 1992, and they have four children: Mallory, Nicholas, Katie, and Jeffrey. They also have one granddaughter. Jeff and Alison live in Cropwell, AL. 
 

KEITH LEE
MEN'S MINISTRY

Keith has been a member of Eden Westside for 7 years and is Director of Men's Ministry.  In addition to this role, Keith is also a Discipleship U teacher and a member of the choir.  Men's Night Out is held every third Thursday of each month at 6:31pm in the fellowship hall.  For additional information, please visit the Men's Ministry link located on the main menu.

LANCE BOWMAN
HEALTH AND WELLNESS MINISTER

Lance studied at Southeastern Bible College and Berea College.  He served as the Student Minister at Seddon Baptist Church from 2006-2008.  He joined the EWS staff in February 2010.  Lance has a passion for maintaining and developing recreational ministries.  He desires to see these ministries provide a means of renewal and fellowship within the church, and to reach out into our surrounding communities.

Lance and his wife Amy have been married since 1998.  They have 3 children:  Madison, C.J., and Owen.  They live in Pell City, AL.
