A Note from Your Pastor August 11, 2016…
Hello Eden Westside Baptist Church Family,
WOW, it is great to back home! As all of you probably know, I was in Haiti last week and we had a great time. God moved in an INCREDIBLE way. Words just seem to be inadequate to describe how God worked while we were there. It is so great to be back home with all of you at Eden Westside. We hit the ground running. It has been a busy week. We had PHENOMENAL services Wednesday night. A lot of people in bible study, students and children ministry and the choir is growing. A lot of exciting things happening here at Eden Westside. I am so thankful for that.
A Note from Your Pastor August 11, 2016
I want to thank God for those men who stood in the gap for me while I was gone. Thank God for Dr. Kevin Blackwell who spoke Sunday morning, Brother Rick Earnest who spoke Sunday night and Brother Nathan Lane who spoke Wednesday night. I have heard nothing but great reports. I am so thankful for friends that I can trust that while I am gone the Pulpit of Eden Westside is going to proclaim the Word of God. I know that all of you that heard them enjoyed the messages they brought. And what about Santana! WOW! What a beautiful song! I was watching it online and Santana blessed our church with a BEAUTIFUL special. We are so thankful for her and Adam as they come in and get plugged into our Music ministry. We are blessed to have them at Eden Westside.
Now, as we think about moving forward. School is back in session and it is a great time as people settle down to encourage them to get plug into church. Invite friends and family to come be a part of what God is doing here at Eden Westside. We are so looking forward for God to grow us, not only numerically but spiritually. Join with me as we invite people to come and be a part of what God is doing here. I am looking forward to seeing God work in a special way.
Some of the things we have coming up that are so vitally important to be praying for are Life Discovery growth. We can grow Life Discovery by doing four things: We can pray, we can invite someone, show up ourselves and be friendly. I believe we ought to be the friendliest church in the world because Jesus is our Savior. We like to demonstrate the love God and the joy of the Lord as we assemble ourselves together. Also, don’t forget “Give Me That Mountain” is coming up in September. This is a BIG event. We will be giving a Saturday and Sunday to focus on the older adults of our church. It is going to be FANTASTIC. We hope you will participate. You do not have to be an older adult to participate you can come and help out with the ministry of that day. Please be praying for this event.
I want to celebrate the River Campus. It is growing each week! God is working. I want to thank God for Brother Rick Earnest who has agreed to be the interim Campus Pastor. Brother Rick has a heart for the Lord and I am excited to see God use him at the River Campus.
I just want to say that it is great to be home with all of you. I am looking forward to seeing what God is going to do as we continue to serve the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
God is at work at Eden Westside Baptist Church.
God bless you,
